Billabong Hand over Love Backpack

BACKPACK

Sarah's pick:

As grown ups, we can appreciate the treat of a new handbag, and a groovy new backpack is the kids version of the ultimate go-anywhere accessory. Our latest find is from Billabong - The Hand Over Love backpack appeals to the designer in me with the gorgeous use of colour and pattern on 100% cotton, but I’m sure it’s the riff on a colouring book that made it a winner with my girls. With a groovy backpack and shiny new sneaks, my girls were zipping out the door for the first day of school!

Buy: $54.95, Billabong Canada

Miss Stan Smith Shoe

Sarah's pick:

A new pair of kicks is always a back to school shopping ritual in our house. Both Robin and I will be sporting the Miss Stan Smith by Adidas. It’s a classic style updated in a sleek female profile (a good consideration for those of us with not so petite feet). :)

BENTO BOX

Lindsey's pick:

Next week my little guy is starting JK and we'll be packing his lunch for the first time. The bento box design of the Yumbox makes it easy to pack healthy lunches and snacks. He loves that he can choose from a variety of colours and designs and I love that its BPA-free, leakproof and easy for his little fingers to open. One less thing to worry about on his first day!

LUNCH KIT

Jennifer's pick:

With so many fun colours and patterns to choose from, it's hard to resist these funky lunch kits. I grew up in the 80s when neon and bold geometrics were in fashion, so anything that takes me back to a time when these patterns were in high demand makes me smile. If I could hop in a DeLorean and travel back in time to relive my grade school days, you can bet I'd be sporting a Parkland lunch bag or backpack. They give me serious Caboodles and Saved by the Bell vibes. And, well, I think that's totally rad.

Buy: $29.99, Parkland

LIPSTICK

Lindsay Mens Craig's pick:

Back to school time means a refreshed face for me! I tend to switch up my lipstick to a more nude/pinky tone when the weather starts to cool. I love Chanel's hydrating lipshine in #54 Boy.

Emily Ley 2018 Daily, Simplified Planner

Daily Planner

Tiffany's pick:

When I was in school, there was nothing that I loved more than a brand new planner and the promise of keeping everything written down and organized. This stylish, colourful planner is the perfect way to keep track of all of those looming homework assignments (or deadlines, appointments, etc. for those of us no longer in school!).

Buy: $58, Emily Ley

Convertible Bag

Laura's pick:

I just recently purchased a new bag for work that I absolutely love! My only regret is not having it when I was in school! This bag holds my computer, agenda and files in it’s slim profile so it’s not too bulky. The major selling point was that it looks chic as a tote for meetings with clients and converts to a backpack for hands free use as I’m always running around and sourcing. It also works as a cross body bag, which makes this little number a triple threat! It's Canadian made, and the leather is super soft which will only get better over time.
